Shoshana Films is currently in post-production for our new film, “One Percent”, a dark comedy. The film was written by Shoshana Films co-founder, Amalia May Valle and is produced by Amalia, Katrina Morris and Susan Marinello of Miami Production Machine. “One Percent” is directed by an award-winning female director, Julianna Pitt.
“One Percent” is a film that humorously explores the dark side of the privileged 1% class and the consequences this privilege has on underrepresented communities. The film stars Adebiyi Lanre, a Nigerian-born rising talent. Actress Emily Leguizamo is also stars.

Adebiyi is a Nigerian-born actor and producer. As an actor, he is known for his ability to take on dynamic roles. He is a student of the respected Lesly Kahn acting studio in LA. Adebiyi is currently in post-production for the film Markus Black, which he produced, co-wrote and stars in.

Her comedy short, Peep Show, was a finalist at the ‘Women in Comedy HBO Insider Competition.’ With over 22 screenings globally, her film, Veronica, won ‘Best Actress’ at Story Mode Shorts Festival, ‘Best Screenplay’ and ‘Best Actress’ at Outlanta Con, and ‘Best Latinx Short’ at IndieFest. Perez also received an ‘Audioverse Award’ nomination for her audioplay, Rincon. She a featured writer on the upcoming audio narrative The Light Ahead produced by Naomi McDougal Jones and is an alumna playwright with the Latinas in Media ATL.

Jonathan Franklin was born and raised in Nairobi Kenya. He now resides in Miami, speaks British English with an American accent and often mixes Swahili into his broken Spanish.
